Cityview Kids
Current Opportunities
Check-In: Inviting and problem-solving leaders. These individuals will get a healthy mix of meeting new families and assisting with tech by being the first meeting point for families each week, helping new families sign up in our system, directing people where to go, and assisting with check-in questions and needs. Team members serve before a service begins and during the service.
Hallway Coaches: Welcoming leaders for our caregivers, kids, and volunteers. These individuals greet and direct families, monitor the hall and doors, help classroom leaders, help when there are incidents, help with snacks, and assist with cleanup.
Small Group Leaders: (Babies-5th Grade) Personable classroom leaders for our age/grade-based classrooms. We have a minimum of 2 adult leaders in the classrooms. Both of these individuals review the curriculum beforehand, lead activities (supplies are prepared for you) that help kids prepare for and process the Bible lesson, build relationships with kiddos and their families, clean up classrooms, set up for the next class, and help train student volunteers.
Large Group Leaders: (Preschool or Elementary) Engaging worship leaders and Bible teachers. These individuals review the curriculum beforehand to engage large groups of kids with an opening activity, share the Bible lesson, teach and review the monthly memory verse, lead in worship, and help train student volunteers to lead in these different areas (supplies are prepared for you).
Special Needs: (Classroom) Compassionate classroom leaders who engage with our special needs kids and families. These individuals will review the curriculum beforehand to lead activities (supplies are prepared for you) that help kids prepare for and process the Bible lesson at their own rate, build relationships with kiddos and their families, prepare kids for transitions, and help kids deescalate and soothe when needed. Experience working with special needs is helpful, but we will also provide training. This can be in the special needs classroom or as a buddy in the age/grade-based classrooms.
Subs/Floats: Available and flexible leaders who can step in to meet the weekly needs in any position. These individuals will respond to serve in positions that open up weekly from weekly or biweekly volunteers calling out for sickness, travel, life events, etc. Once assigned a position, review relevant curriculum to prepare beforehand.
Student Volunteers: Helpful and eager to learn student leaders who are in 6th-12th grade. The students will assist and co-lead with adult volunteers in the classrooms with activities, being a buddy, and playing with kids, in large groups with activities, worship, Bible lessons, and memory verses, and in the halls with helping to direct families, serving snacks, and cleaning.
